Wiley Wilhelm, '65 Crown V8 Project - Anchorage, Alaska
I bought it off of CraigsList. The Seller was about to lose it to Zoning Enforcement tow truck due to the number of non-running cars in his yard and driveway. I went to look at the car thinking it may have a few parts I could use or barter with. The Seller did not say anything about the 283 in the back seat probably because it was so worn out that it was not worth saving. I have a fuel injected 4.3l v6 that I intend to install to get some leg room. Right now I am trying to design a new tube steel frame that will let me slide the seat back as far as possible.
When I purchased it, it had Crown Conversion with a low compression 283 cu in engine. It has an Edelbrock Torker intake manifold and Holley carb. Running gear includes a 4 speed Saginaw transmission and an unknown axle ratio (haven't looked to see if it is posi yet).
Besides the bum engine the car needs a lot of bodywork. Nearly a complete car except it is missing the shifter adapter to go around the oil pan and some headlight buckets. Looking for info on shifter adapter for the Crown Conversion. Need to either make one or buy one if there is one to be had.

November, 2017 Update
Have purchased a 4.3l V6 to replace the tired 283 that's in the car just haven't had time to work on it.
April, 2018 Update
Pulled the 283 and sold it to finance more work. Looking to modify or build new frame for the 4.3L V6 and gain some legroom.
