Craig Nicol - Post Falls, Idaho
1966 Black Monza 4-dr with Air Conditioning. Converted in 2010 using powertrain from Paul McCreary's car. Engine was resleeved to 255 CID using 265 SBC pistons, but it initially didn't work due to internal mixing of oil and coolant from head gasket misfit. After extensive revision, it's fine now with over 10k miles travelled. Power is transmitted through a Kennedy (K.E.P.) adapter, a stock HD clutch into a stock '66 Saginaw 4-speed. Cooling is accomplished through a front mounted, dual-pass aluminum radiator, that is ducted out the bottom. The interior has been "Corsa-ized" and features 300ZX leather seats and A/C.
The car "Goes like stink" and gets highway mpg in the low 20s. Next challenge is to build a better heater.
