January, 2021 Update
The car was rolling for a while until the front subframe was removed. We are still finishing the rear bodywork; widening and relocating rear fenders to accommodate the wider C5 suspension and 2 inch longer wheelbase. The front suspension is being rebuilt with early Camaro spindles/ball joints, C5 brakes, and a new power steering box. We also made our own tubular upper a-arms.
November, 2019 Update
My Kelmark car has been sold and now resides in the Seattle, Washington area.
September, 2018 Update - C5 Powerglide 421 sbc under construction
The subframe is together and mounted in car. The right door and quarter behind the door have been replaced. Working on relocating the right wheel opening now. Moving it back 2 inches and out 3 inches. Longer wheelbase and wide body. Unfortunately, we have not accomplished anything since last winter. I had open heart surgery in February and am still recovering. I think we will get back to the car soon.
July, 2017 Update
I thought you might be interested in my use of C5 frame rails. Here are a few pictures. This will use the full width and require relocation of the wheel openings. You could do something similar with a narrowed rear suspension.
