A friend of mine who I believe is already a member, has had this car for over 35 years. He started the conversion but life got in the way and the car has been in storage for around 30 years. A few months back he called and said his health is bad and he wanted me to have and finish the car.
I plan on changing the drivetrain from the Crown 4 spider Corvair rear to a C5 Saginaw. I plan on an LS of some kind depending on what I find and I'm looking at a dual turbo setup. Pump gas friendly. I plan on using the car to compete in the Optima Battery Ultimate Street Car Series and car shows and cruising the beautiful back roads here in Tennessee. All comments and advise is welcome and appreciated.
