Tom Perry - San Diego, California
350 CI Chevy, Crown conversion with headers and Holley carburetor
This Corvair has been a family member since 1974. The original 327 engine was a San Diego State University auto shop project. Marshall Hesler, a great Corvair resource, sold me the car, then purchased back the engine, trans, and seats, as I exchanged them for those parts the car needed. The car has been great for slalom racing.
This car encouraged me to pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in suspension design. It was a daily driver for many years.
