Keith Chafin, Looking For A Late Model Conversion - Mt Juliet, Tennessee

I am looking for a late model coupe conversion and would like to find a fairly complete car…so need all the advice and help possible.  I remember the mid engine cars growing up and like the mid-engine concept the best. My initial research leads me to believe a traditional Crown conversion may not work (I am 6’ and 270 lbs) but see that a lot of people are developing alternative trans/diff solutions to resolve the leg room issues.  Also, I found there are some Kelmark conversions and front wheel drive Northstar conversions.  I have moderate mechanical skills and have several cars (completing an engine swap with turbo build in my 94 Miata plus keep my 72 Opel GT leaks to a minimum).  I researched putting a Buick 215 in my Opel GT but it ruins the cars lines and drivability so that led to this search for a late model Corvair.  I do not have paint and body work skills so would prefer a solid, minimal rust car.
