January, 2021 Update
Currently finishing a friend’s car, so I can get back on mine. My car is rolling. Coil overs mounted, steering finished. Gas tank made. C5 suspension front and rear. Fabricated rear frame and suspension mounts.
January, 2020 Update
Rolling, steering.motor/trans mounted. Shifter working and the gas tank is fabbed. 2015 Chevy Cruze seats installed.
July, 2019 Update
I have all suspension mounted and engine/ transaxle in place. I used everything from a 2002 Z06 that was damaged in the right front. I narrowed the front 5”, but if I did it again I would do 6”. Mustang II manual rack and pinion. I narrowed the rear 8” and fabricated frame rails from 2” x4”, .120 tubing. I had a pleasant surprise - The Porsche Boxster S cv joints have the same splines as the Z06 and with the cradle narrowed 8 “, the axles didn’t have to be modified in any way. I just changed the cv joints. I bought some brackets from Coffman Corvettes, which locate the upper control arms on the outside of the tubing and the lower cradle to the bottom of the tubing. This locates everything on the right location for alignment.
January, 2019 Update
Front suspension installed, rear suspension mocked up, engine/transaxle in place. Many other parts bought and ready to install. Working on friends cars has delayed mine. I’m sure many know this story.
