I Have this 65 Monza That will be Cloned into a 66 Corsa. It will represent the very Corsa (Canadian) I bought in 1976, Unfortunately it was so bad with rust that I had to give the body (save the important pieces) a decent burial ! The original plan then was to do a Toro V8, but that did not happen, so now this rust free clone will have to do. The twist is that the V8 will turn into a turbo V6 in the process loosing about 150 LBS. With a little luck and good planning it should come together.
November, 2016 Updates
1. Engine & transaxle, with 4 links to tork arms installed. (still working on the axles, u-joint to Tri-pot)?
2. GM rear disc brakes installed, Buick, Toro style.
3. Cooling lines, front to back, installed, 1 3/4" 304 SS. Thru the lower frame rails.(that was fun)
4. Sizing up for a radiator and ready to cut out front sheet metal for mounting.
5. In the works is a electrical challenge, with the engine harness to manage electronic fuel injection and Turbo boost system, in there somewhere is alky injection.
Having lots of fun with this build, but to be sure I wanted to do this on my first Corvair in 1976 ! I had the skills back then but maybe not the time to do it. The interesting note here is my daily driver (72 VW van) at the time was always dropping valves into Pistons, so I installed a Mustang V6/ Kennedy adapter, it drove amazingly well, as air cooled was in my blood - until I found water pumper power and reliability.

December, 2019 Update
COOLING SYSTEM -
Radiator and shroud, with a two speed fan. Electric water pump will be managed by a Davies Graig control. Air intake opening has been enlarged for more air flow, not sure it was needed, but won’t hurt.
