Planning a conversion to 3.8L Buick supercharged V6 with 4sp automatic transaxle.
Here are some photos of the start I have made on my transverse V6 into a 63 coupe project. The first phase, cutting away the rear floorboard, firewall and package tray area is done. Next step will be to bring the powertrain around to the garage, set it on a dolly and begin maneuvering it into position. There will be modifications made to the "frame" area as needed, and then fabrication of crossmembers and so on. Lots of work ahead, but I am pretty excited about it so far. I plan to retain the complete Buick former front suspension and automatic transmission along with the engine.
Here is the supercharged Buick V6 being moved under the 63 coupe and into position, and some preliminary work fitting axles and rear suspension mounting points. Now I'm working on crossmembers, front and rear, and modifying the Buick subframe to bolt to them.
