It's the final days of 2023. For many of us, it was a year to remember. Many of us experienced medical issues and a few passed on. I know that my physical condition will never be quite the same after a slip on a step this past March, but conditions are improving. I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Healthy & Happy New Year for 2024. May the Good Lord keep us safe and able to enjoy our Corvair Conversions for another year.
MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL 2024
As indicated in my November newsletter, it's time to renew your membership for 2024. Basic Membership for $10 is the only option for 2024. If you want a shirt or other merchandise, it can be ordered from our on-line store. Although some of you have already renewed, this notice is being sent to everyone. To renew your membership logon to our website at: v8vairs.com or v8registry.com
Click on 'Membership Application' and fill in the required information. You can pay by check or PayPal. No other form of payment is offered unless you decide to send cash by US Mail to Paul Beck. The grace period for membership renewals ends March 15, 2024.
While you have the website open, check out some of the information available. The password is still silva
Take a look at the History page. If you want to find something easily, click on 'SEARCH' at the top of the 'HOME' page and type in a key word. You will be amazed at what you will find.
NEW FAST STEERING BOX (See photo at bottom of this newsletter)
Seth Emerson, a member in California, sells a number of parts for Corvair owners. Here's information about his latest offering with his description:
If you are looking for a Brand New Fast-Ratio quick Steering box? I have those!
These new boxes are the identical 16-1 ratio as the GM optional quick steering box.
The mounting bolt pattern and input/output splines match the stock Corvair.
They are a bolt-in replacement for the 1960-63 Corvair, and easily installed into later models.
Several different installation “kits” are available for the 1964-65-66 models.
1967-69 need a minor mod to just bolt-in.
All kits provide additional crash safety, adding a new universal joint in the column.
Good things come to those who wait. I have been working on this project for seven years.
Shipping starts on January 1, 2024. The introductory price is $500 - including shipping to your US Mail address in the USA. (California addresses must add sales tax) Have a Happy Holiday! Questions?

We are planning a super convention in Dayton, OH this summer. Start making your plans for the week of July 21-26. The host hotel is the University of Dayton Marriott Inn. This is a good central location; so we are expecting a bigger than average turnout. Mark your calendar and more detail will be coming.
OK, let's see some membership renewals. Don't wait until you forget again.
