CORSA Convention
The annual International Corvair Convention hosted by the local Corvair clubs and CORSA (Corvair Society Of America) is scheduled from Monday, June 22 to Saturday, June 27 at the Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel & Conference Center in Gettysburg, PA.
On Wednesday, June 24 at 7:00 PM in the Eisenhower Room of the Wyndham, the V-8 Registry will hold it's Annual Meeting. I look forward to meeting many of you for the first time and renewing acquaintances with those who attend regularly. At our meeting we will discuss activities during the past year, address your questions/concerns and award the People's Choice Award to the Corvair Conversion judged best at the convention. At the conclusion of the meeting, I will pass out tickets to our members and draw out numbers for door prizes. If you don't have time to attend the convention events or the money to sign up for all the festivities, you can still attend the V-8 Registry Annual Meeting without registering for the convention. We welcome everyone to our meeting. NO Convention badge required.
Rather than repeat all the convention details again that were published in the March newsletter, you are welcome to call me and I will help you with late registration and hotel accommodations. You can also find details by visiting www.corvair.org
ON LINE MERCHANDISE
Our apparel store is available on line and easy to access from the V-8 Registry HOME page. Just look for the heading 'ORDER APPAREL HERE'. Our vendor FULLY PROMOTED is using a new process to print shirts for us. The process is called DTF (Direct To Film) and closely resembles the silk screened process for high quality printing that was used some years ago when Chuck Rust prepared our shirts. Some of these shirts will be available as door prizes during our meeting. If your old shirts are starting to look a little ragged, now's a good time to place an order. It took a while, but during the past several months activity on the V-8 Registry Facebook page has picked up noticeably. V-8 REGISTRY FORUM
Let me remind members that the V-8 Registry FORUM is still available to members. Our FORUM is private and accessible to members only, whereas the Facebook page can be accessed by anyone. There is a wealth of information available on the FORUM and you can communicate directly with other members on topics that you don't want the world to see or comment on. Every new member received a username and password when you became a V-8 Registry member IF you requested a FORUM logon. If you didn't request a logon and want one, you can contact Rick Andersen at [email protected] to obtain a username and password. If you forgot your logon, you can contact Rick and he will email it to you.
You can quickly access the FORUM from the V-8 Registry website. Go to www.v8registry.com and view the headings at the top of the HOME page. From the list select 'The V8 Registry Forum' or use the following link:
