First, let me extend a wish to you and your families for a HEALTY NEW YEAR. Based on information received to date, 2026 appears off to a great start with a number of exciting events on the calendar. I'll address these events further down the page.
DUES FOR 2026
As announced in the November newsletter, 2025 membership expired December 31, 2025 and membership renewals for 2026 are open. A number of you have paid and elected to receive our offer of two year membership for $25. One year membership remains at $15 for 2026 renewals, but not for long. On February 15, 2026 the discounted membership rate will expire and late renewals will cost $30 to renew for 2026. CORVAIR PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP
This year's workshop will be hosted by DERNOSHEK RACING
Location: 5645 Ashland Road, Kannapolis, North Carolina
Duration: 2 Days
Attendees: Anyone on or off Facebook
Join us for the 2026 edition of the Corvair Performance Workshop. Friday Feb 20th will be set-up for vendors and the dyno will be available for rent. We will do a group dinner Friday night. Saturday will be filled with plenty of presentations, stories and opportunities to buy and sell parts. Lunch to be provided. Contact Logan Dernoshek at 704-263-1163 for additional information.
I can't make the trip, but am interested in hearing from a V-8 Registry member who plans to attend. Need someone to take a few pictures and get a count on members attending. Call or text me if interested in helping.
CORSA CONVENTION IN GETTYSBURG, PA
The 2026 CORSA Convention is scheduled for Monday June 22, through Friday June 26 in Gettysburg, PA. The Annual Meeting of the V-8 Registry will be held during the event and I plan to chair the meeting. The meeting date hasn't been announced yet, but I expect it to be posted for either Wednesday, June 24 or June 25. The location is the Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel & Conference Center, 95 Presidential Circle, Gettysburg, PA 17325-8397. Call the hotel directly to make reservations. The number is 717-339-0020. DO NOT choose Option 1 (Reservations), instead choose Option 3 and use the name CORSA National Convention for the discounted convention rate. King and Double Queen rooms are available for $159 per night, not including local taxes. Make your reservations early. The convention rate ends May 21st. The block of rooms fills up fast. Trailer parking is available.
On Monday, June 22 there will be a track day event at Summit Point for those members interested in racing your conversions. NECC will host the event and you can register on their website at:

This high speed event will run from 7 AM to 5 PM on the Shenandoah Circuit. This should be a great track to open up your Corvair Conversion.
CONVERSIONS WITH REVERSE ROTATION ENGINES
Dean Gemberling has located a company that is capable and willing to cut a Buick 215 reverse rotation steel cam gear that is Rockwell hardened and a reverse rotation bronze distributor gear. An unused gear set will be used for the patterns. If you are interested in purchasing a set of gears Dean is reaching out to see if demand is high enough to make this project economically worthwhile. The estimated cost for one set is $1999.00. Contact Dean at 706-617-7521 or [email protected]

The Annual Meeting of the V-8 Registry will be held during the event and I plan to chair the meeting. The meeting date hasn't been announced yet, but I expect it to be posted for either Wednesday, June 24 or June 25. The location is the Wyndham Gettysburg Hotel & Conference Center, 95 Presidential Circle, Gettysburg, PA 17325-8397. Call the hotel directly to make reservations. The number is 717-339-0020. DO NOT choose Option 1 (Reservations), instead choose Option 3 and use the name CORSA National Convention for the discounted convention rate. King and Double Queen rooms are available for $159 per night, not including local taxes. Make your reservations early. The convention rate ends May 21st. The block of rooms fills up fast. Trailer parking is available.

On Monday, June 22 there will be a track day event at Summit Point for those members interested in racing your conversions. NECC will host the event and you can register on their website at:

This high speed event will run from 7 AM to 5 PM on the Shenandoah Circuit. This should be a great track to open up your Corvair Conversion.
CONVERSIONS WITH REVERSE ROTATION ENGINES
Dean Gemberling has located a company that is capable and willing to cut a Buick 215 reverse rotation steel cam gear that is Rockwell hardened and a reverse rotation bronze distributor gear. An unused gear set will be used for the patterns. If you are interested in purchasing a set of gears Dean is reaching out to see if demand is high enough to make this project economically worthwhile.
