RARE SILVA BUILT CONVERSION - One of six Silva Conversions build personally by Art Silva and Fred Santillo. This is the only convertible that they built together.
My father purchased this car from Fred Santillo in 1993, who built the car along with Art Silvia. My dad got it running and had it at his wedding with my mom. He sold the car in 2009, and after a series of three owners, I managed to track down the car using the V8 Registry and purchased the car from Mr. Terry Kalp to get it back in the family. My dad and I drove the car from Kansas back to upstate New York, where it is now located.

Originally built in New York in the late '60s by a group of three guys who built six conversions. This was the only convertible they made. Carl Kozad drove it to several CORSA conventions and on the Hot Rod Power Tour.

2026 Gettysburg CORSA Convention

Alexander Sydow won this year's People's Choice Award at the CORSA International Convention in Gettysburg. Attached is a picture taken during the V-8 Registry Annual Meeting. Included in the picture is yours truly and Fred Santillo, the guy who built the Sydow convertible 57 years ago. For me personally, I was so pleased to meet Fred in person. We talk quite often because he's such an interesting person to talk with. Brian and Alexander Sydow made Fred's day by bringing him to the convention. He was on cloud 9.
